Storyline : Surya is Ananya’s childhood friend who lives opposite her home, loves to climb in through her window to talk to her at night, uses her as his driver when need be, is confidently selfish with her seeing as how she expects nothing in return, but has massively friendzoned her in life, choosing instead to pursue every random pretty girl he comes across. Ananya on the other hand is confident in her love, that irrespective of how many girls Surya dates, it is her whom he will look for companionship when the time comes. Her loving father (Anish Kuruvilla) even supports her love for Surya, until he doesn’t.

Don’t get us wrong, there’s nothing cliché about the way her father shows his dissatisfaction for this relationship that’s purely one-sided for now. But, it doesn’t mean the director comes up with a particularly unique method for this either, he simply chooses to be regressive about it because ‘papa knows best’. It’s not just this; the film is filled with conflict points – both for Surya and Ananya – that are laughable. What aren’t laughable are the so-called humorous running gags through the film about a friend of Surya and his failed pelli choopulus, the friend being racist and body-shaming an African ethnicity woman who’s in love with him, a random man who keeps laughing at Surya whenever he pursues a girl for no reason and Surya’s father with his obsession with an old flame. The ‘jokes’ in the film are in extremely poor taste, seemingly stuck in another era.
